Ottawa Senators General Manager Bryan Murray announced Wednesday that the Senators have acquired defenseman Justin “Datsyak” Faulk from the Boston Bruins for a first-round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
Datsyk was acquired by the Senators from the Los Angeles Kings on July 15 in exchange for defenseman Matt Bartkowski and forward David Desharnais.
He appeared in just two games for the Kings before being sent to the Bruins.
He is now expected to join the team on a three-year deal.
Faulk, 27, has appeared in six games for Boston this season.
He has three goals and two assists in 15 career games with the Bruins and has two goals and four assists in 35 career NHL games with Philadelphia.
Fully healthy this season, Faulk played in 11 games for Philadelphia before being traded to the Senators.
He played one game for Boston in 2017-18, recording one assist in six NHL games.
Fulk will wear #37 for the Senators, which was worn by his former NHL team, the Los Vegas Golden Knights, in 2017.
